The Remember Project, Wednesday, August 10^th, 1-3pm, Bville Senior Community Center.  HELPERS and the Clay County Age Well group are thrilled to be hosting this unique and important series of three productions that focus on memory loss and dementia. The Remember Project is a community of professional theater artists that believes in building a more dementia-capable Minnesota and Wisconsin by using the arts. The two-hour event includes a one-act play performed by professional actors who bring to life real issues connected to the care, diagnosis, and experience of dementia and how relationships can be tested in unexpected ways. The first play, Fortune Cookies, will be presented virtually at the Bville Senior Community Center on August 10th. In this humorous play, you’ll see that Mona has a great idea! This vibrant octogenarian is determined to be the first to know if her recall is slipping beyond what can be considered normal, age-related memory loss. An unexpected visit from her son David reveals that she has cooked up a way to help herself and others be on the lookout for the early stages of dementia. Following the play, the viewing audience will share in conversation about how they were impacted by the play. You can participate in the discussion as much or as little as you wish.
